Dental surgery in Krakow

CHIRURGIA 1

Dental surgery is a very broad field of dentistry. Among the most frequently performed procedures in the field of dental surgery, there is tooth extraction, surgical removal of wisdom teeth and lengthening of the tooth crown.

In the interest of your comfort, all dental surgery procedures are done under local anaesthesia, which is appropriately selected by our dental surgeon depending on the type of procedure. A good dental surgeon is, above all, an experienced doctor, focused on the patient and their needs. The knowledge and experience of our doctors combined with up-to-date methods of treatment are a guarantee of stress-free and pleasant visits.

New methods of dental surgery at Długosz & Długosz clinic

In the case of difficult microsurgery procedures, we offer the administration of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), thanks to which the regeneration processes of the post-operative wound (e.g. after tooth extraction) are sped up. PRF is obtained from the patient’s blood after centrifugation. It is a source of many growth factors, white blood cells, elastin and collagen. It supports the bone formation process and stimulates wound healing. The fibrin membrane obtained in this way is an ideal material supporting surgical treatment. It is most often used in maxillary sinus floor lifting procedures, bone augmentation (regeneration), tooth extraction (pulling out), implantation and curettage. An additional advantage during the procedures is the ability of the dental surgeon to operate under a microscope, which allows for maximum precision.
